Very nice stop in a great town. The wall is on the west side of the canal, not the east as stated in the previous review. Check in with the lock staff to pay for electric ($10) or dockage, if you don't have a park pass, and get the bathroom code for after hours use. They will probably come to you..There is a small lock museum at the flight and Fort Chambly is an excellent place to visit. There is also a large grocery store (Maxi) about 100 yards from the wall.

Nice stop before starting or ending the Chambly Canal. Solid, floating docks with lots of cleats. No services, except porta potties in the park to the immediate south. Loved the town and bike paths. Lots of dining options. Very busy on a beautiful Sunday, with constant boat and foot traffic until late in the evening. Wakes bounce off concrete walls on both sides of the basin and take a while to die down. We enjoyed it here, but might not return on a weekend.

Full list of amenities: gas, diesel, pump-out, laundry and ship's store. Bathrooms and showers were modern and clean. Good WiFi and decent T-Mobile signal. Onsite restaurant was good but a little overpriced—other options are walkable nearby. Nice town, with Macdonough Monument, War of 1812, Plattsburgh Air Base and County Museums all worth a look. Friendly staff and locals, busy on weekends—we were there during a fishing tournament, but it was well run and not too noisy. Also near the tracks and the occasional train will blast its horn. We would definitely return here.

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed it very much. Great location in town near parks, bike path and ECHO Leahy aquarium. Clean bathrooms and showers, no laundry or fuel. A little pricey ($3/foot) for what they offer and the 120-foot Ethan Allen III sightseeing boat docks here and idles their big engines a lot. We did not try the on-site restaurant, which was closed the first night due to heavy rain. Nice co-op 0.6 miles away for provisions and Church St offers many dining and shopping options. Burlington is a fantastic city!

We left our boat here for two weeks to travel home. Very accommodating and the staff took good care of us. Newer private bathrooms and showers, nice store, gas, diesel, pumpout. Quiet and peaceful, but a long way from town and there's not much to see and do in Charlotte. Uber and Lyft were available to visit Shelburne and Burlington, with lots to do there. Docks were very uncomfortable in strong south winds, even with the submerged barges they have as breakwaters. To be fair, everywhere we've stayed on Lake Champlain has been rolly!

Easy to book on Dockwa. Good floating docks, but one of the rolliest marinas we've ever stayed in. We had strong north winds and the motion was very uncomfortable. Full list of amenities: nice bathrooms, showers, laundry, gas and diesel. Half-mile walk to town, but not much to see or do there. Dockside Cafe at the marina was very good, and only one restaurant in the village was open—Gene's, with Dairy Queen fare. We might return, but only if light winds were forecast.

Pretty setting in nice park. Power/water pedestals are on the end closest to Lock 12. Nice bathrooms and showers in unstaffed visitor's center, although the men's shower was locked during our stay. Museum is excellent, but there is an admission charge. Few dining options in town, but we were lucky to be there for a summer festival, with lots of food trucks, live music in the evening, and an impressive fireworks show that we could see from the boat. Even with the festival, there was a curious lack of garbage cans here—we had to walk a ways to find one. Overall a great stop and we would return.

One of our favorite places so far on the Great Loop—definitely worth the side trip! The cleats on the floating dock were more than adequate for our small boat. Did not plug in to electric—your cord will run across the asphalt where the occasional cars drive through the park. Agree with all other details in previous review. The waterfall is stunning, but we saw a boat run aground that got too close. AquaMap chart was accurate at the entrance to Otter Creek, and we never saw less than 7 feet. The rest of the creek is very pretty and easily navigable. Vergennes is attractive and charming, with a few good dining options—we enjoyed Rockers Pizzeria.

No services, and we had generator noise from a neighbor. Passing boat wakes started early and ended late, and the road noise was above average. The town is very touristy and unique, with a large public beach and amusement park, which was closed during our stay. Good restaurant options; we liked Eddie's.
