We dropped anchor in 7.5-8' of water off of the boat ramp and didn't budge all night, with plenty of room to swing if we had. There were only 3 boats in the anchorage, but many more could have fit comfortably. Clay and mud slid right off the anchor nicely. This anchorage is truly a first-choice anchorage for the area!

We had 10-11' in the eastern cove past the launch ramp, good holding in mud and plenty of swing room. Excellent protection from winds and waves and very scenic and peaceful. Poor T-Mobile reception.

Pay close attention to the small Green and Red markers as you enter. Deep channel is along the north bank. Center of entrance is poorly charted shoal. Depth opens up a bit once nside.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

There is sufficient depth in both the northeast and southeast arms to move either way. We went up the middle of the southeast arm past a small boat launch / campsite on the eastern shore and moved up the 0.3 miles into 10 feet of water with plenty of swing room and excellent wind, wave, wake, and current protection. Cell service at the icon was 2 bar ATT and Verizon, 1 bar T-Mobile. Cell service at the back of the cove was not available. With no development the anchorage is really peaceful. This is a first choice anchorage for the area.
