I dropped my cqr plow anchor in 14 feet of water, and had trouble setting the anchor. Hauled anchor in and tried again with more rode. Boat held against the current, but I think I could have pulled the anchor if I applied a little engine power.

Entered and exited from the North and anchored in 17' of water just past floating platform. There is a mild current to keep you centered, but we used a stern anchor just to be safe. Okay cell service on T-Mobile. Anchors both came up clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Good holding and the anchor came up clean.
Weak Verizon signal, but with my MIMO antenna was able to get (slow) internet service and was able receive a voice call.
An occasional gentle wake made its way up the channel from passing tows, but it only caused a pleasant rocking of the boat.
Current and depth increased (by 2 feet) overnight. Pickwick dam, just upstream, must have increased the flow. Our Rocna 20 held fine though.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

At anchorage icon there is a minimum of 18 feet winter pool in the middle of the chute. Continue south in the channel for shoaling waters. Move off towards island for appropriate anchoring depth but let out sufficient scope: There is full current in the chute. Well protected except with winds from the north.
