Stayed on wall one night and on floating dock one night. Floating dock much easier to get on off boat. Both in good shape with rings to tie to. Free wall with electricity, water, laundry, showers and pump out. Grocery, pharmacy and a few restaurants just across the bridge. Ice cream across the street (but not open on Mondays) Would definitely recommend this stop.

19 June 2024. Concur with authors comments dated June 2, 2024. I tied up to the floating pier which was better for the boat's lower freeboard. My colleague and I walked the shore power cable (one of use on shore and the other on the floating dock) so as not to reach over the 6 ft gap.

Pretty park setting, with picnic tables, swings and benches. Full list of amenities: electric, water, wifi, bathrooms, showers, laundry, pump-out (did not use); all free, although a donation envelope was part of our welcome packet. Check in at the visitor center on the east end of the north wall, staffed by friendly volunteers. Very high wall (for us); we tied up near a ladder, with cleats and rings. There is a floating dock by the visitors center with lots of cleats, but it's a longer reach to the water and electric. Several restaurants and a Rite Aid nearby, and an ice cream shop at the park. We enjoyed our stay here.

This is a nice stop. They have power, water, restrooms all for free. There are restaurants, a grocery store and a ice shop right next to the docks. Nice free wall with rings and some cleats. Floating docks are also available.
Although free, be sure to check-in with office tower at the east end of the docks.

What a great overnight stop! When we read the description, one of my companions said it was too good to be true. Free dock with power and water, bathrooms, shower, laundry, and pumpout? But that's exactly what we got at Newark, along with super friendly and helpful staff. Docking with power and water kiosks on a wall or floating dock with overflow on the other side of the canal. Restaurants and grocery within walking distance. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. There was a history slide show in the evening and, if we'd stayed another night, we would have had live music. I will definitely be stopping here again!

What a great spot. Clean (single) shower, free laundry and wifi. Lots of room on the dock. A warm welcome from the dockmaster Rebecca. We had dinner with friends at Canal View Diner. Great food, prices and staff. You cannot go wrong at this port.
