Agree with last reviewer about being a great stop, and shoaling—follow the buoyed channel and it's fine. Women's bathroom could have been cleaner. Old locks in town are interesting, as is the old fort museum. Recommend Mamma's Cafe for breakfast and The Anvil Inn for dinner.

This is a great Free Wall stop. There are eight power pedestals- each with two 30A outlets and two 15A plugs. The restrooms are clean - showers take four quarters. A short walk to the main street. Stewart's mini-mart is a couple of blocks and has great ice-cream. A pizza shop is about 2 blocks away. We did not notice any shoaling in the well marked channel.

Nice dock with free electric and water. Be careful of shoaling upon approach. Hug the south/west side of the channel upon approach. Short walk to town with a nice pub and breakfast spot.

Wow. This is a great stop if you can't get to Mechanicville or Whitehall. Quiet, power, water all for free.

Free is good. The wall can be a bit tricky to tie to as you will need to use the ladders to get off most boats. It is very close to town with several restaurants and a convenience store wIthin a short walk. It is a good halfway point on the Champlain Canal with nice bathrooms. It is a town park and was quiet at night but we were there in late September. It is easy to get to from the canal. Electric and water are also free.

Very nice free wall, water and electric and nice restrooms, all was very well kept. Quiet night for the most part, but trains do rumble across the trestle you pass under on your way in. There is also a busy road.

Very quiet tie up along wall. 30 Amp electric hook ups conveniently placed. Bathrooms/showers were locked and unable to reach anyone at town offices to check reason. Ye Old Fort diner about 2 blocks away a must! Don't be turned off by plain exterior. Inside is full of memorabilia. Great service for all homemade food, delicious pies and very reasonable prices.

Off the Hudson River after Lock 7 going south. Just a wall for docking with power and rest rooms. The Anvil Restaurant in town has good food for dinner and drinks. The old Fort Diner for breakfast. A big meal; eggs potatoes, toast, bacon, coffee $6. Nice town.
