We were here Oct. 22, 23. Not much to look at, but the people here are super nice. The water was pretty shallow as you come in but they do provide you with enough information to ensure you are in deep enough water. We were at the last dock and enjoyed the quietness of the area and wildlife we could see from the boat. We would definitely come back again. The bathrooms were dirty, and we didn't use the laundry. The store was open, but we didn't really need anything. We didn't get fuel or need a pump-out.

Terrible for cruisers! No fixed pumpout, only a mobile barge that they charge $30 for and if you are a high deck cruising boat, more often than not it cannot pull through the deck fitting. They built a new store, good luck finding it actually open. They will take your money if you stop, offer you the store manager's wife's car to go eat. The poorly maintained bath house is about a 1/2 mile walk from where they put you. They cater to a handful of "weekend warrier" houseboaters and that is all the managing owner is interested in. No food, no repairs other than bandaids. I stuck it out here just over 3 years because of the location. No More. We got out of here first of the year. The place has alot of potential if it would get a new owner and competent clear-headed staff!

Enter south of the island into a well marked channel. Call George on the VHF as you proceed in. He will guide you around the shallow area. I never marked less than 5' under the keel. Docks are in good shape, a very quiet area away from any towns. The views are really pretty. Good space for dogs to explore and get exercise. Bathrooms are in rough shape and not clean.

Well-marked channel, plenty of water depth (6-7') and good instructions to get to covered slip. Fuel, store, bath, showers and laundry. George, the Harbor Master is very helpful and friendly. Adjacent to Duck River Wildlife Refuge, which has a gravel road and nice riverfront for stretching your legs. We would definitely return here.

Depth in well marked entrance channel not less than 10 feet, parts of the marina were less, but never under 8 feet at winter pool. Floating wooden docks with good white plastic bumpers on roof supports. The pump out is on a boat. They were helpful when we unexpectedly needed it and came to our dock right away. One shower in each of the men's and women's restrooms. Rustic but clean, could do with updating. New fuel docks and store.

Very tight entrance, not sure I'd anchor here, nice clean facilities but didn't use them as they are a long way from the dock we were at. All replaced after hurricane damage a few years ago. Minimal store/Chandlery. Friendly staff. Borrowed the courtesy car to have dinner, nice. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We got gas and water at the fuel dock and took trash to the dumpsters. We then anchored behind the marina, George who works there gave us pointers on where to go and not go to anchor. Listen to him.
We were offered use of the showers, bathrooms, etc while anchored. And George's wife even offered the use of her car. They are Super friendly people. I 100% would go back again.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Transients go on dock 5. Farthest from showers (only one each in the men's and women's room) They were clean but rustic, No WifFi. The ship's store was OK. $1/ft with Boat US discount otherwise $1.50. The dockhand was very good. Brand new (covered) docks. Narrow & windy channel, but well marked. Plenty of room once at the docks.
The dock master lives aboard his boat at the marina and said to call him any time, if we need anything.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Great stop. Super friendly and welcoming staff. $1/FT. Nice wide covered slips. Well marked channel with over 9' feet of depth. Nice ship's store. Very peaceful quiet area. Lots of areas to walk a dog. Friendly regulars that were quick to offer a ride to dinner or supplies. Dock Master George's wife even offered us her car both nights we were there. This is a marina that we could see making our home after the loop.

Great transient stop. $1/ft, covered slips & end tie. This is my home marina now, but great for loopers passing through as well.

Follow marked channel for entry then plenty of water. New docks. Good electric supply. Slips are not affected by river currents or wakes. Good staff.
