It can be said that Marsh Harbour is truly the hub of the Abacos: the third-largest city in the Bahamas has pretty much everything the cruising sailor could desire. Daily commercial and charter flights from the United States, Nassau and Freeport make it a great place for crew changes and meet-ups. The airport is a quick taxi ride from the harbor (Marsh Harbour taxis monitor VHF Channel 06).
Multiple well-stocked supermarkets, liquor stores, and hardware stores are an easy walk from the marinas and the dinghy landing at the Union Jack dock. Numerous welcoming marinas offer fuel, slips, and repairs. Ferries depart continually for Great Guana, Man-O-War, and Hope Town.
