Holden Beach Transient Dock was wonderful. $1.25 /ft $5.00 power. Water also available. Clean showers, super nice laundry and anything you need within walking distance. It's a Great town, super nice people. Provisioning a 1 mile walk to town. Voted best family beach in NC several years. It's a beautiful beach strand and within 100yds from the town dock. Definitely a nice stop to unwind, especially with a lot of loopers hopping through this area fairly quick. After the rock piles in Myrtle beach, this is a great option to recharge your mental batteries and decompress some

We stayed 1 night. There is a grocery store a block away, new restrooms, showers, restaurant along the wall. Several small slips of about 30 ft are available with power. The wall for transients is about 150 ft tying to pilings. It's a "cute" little town, with everything you need within 2 blocks. Current is strong here. Power is available towards the south end of the wall for 30 and 50 amp. A long line is required to reach the pedestals
down to the nearest post. You'll need a couple hundred feet of power line to reach a post if taking the northern portion of the wall. The park setting is small and comfortable. Walking into town for small town vendor shops and homemade ice cream, along with 4 pickleball courts close to the park makes this a fun stop or a great place to hold out for weather.

Tidy marina with a great dockmaster. Power and water included in price. The marina is more sport fisher boats but the deep water for the transient slip, easy in and out to the ocean and proximity to the boardwalk for the off the water time make this a great stop. I'd say nothing over a 60 ft due to shorter slips. Pilings and permanent docks I give this less stars. The closeness to the boardwalk keeps the stars at a 4. Diesel and gas available.

Great anchorage for an easterly or north wind. Open bay for other directions but rock isn't too bad unless it's a strong blow. Good holding, a beach available, no small boats allowed. We held up here for a night as a quick western wind came through. Our anchor held well in a thick muck.

Book your slip on dockwa and staff is timely to respond. The docks are well kept right on casino property. Bands play outside in summer. Several smokey smelling restaurants are available to dine in with the Chart House, smokeless, overlooking the marina. Pool and hot tub were available in October till 11 pm with a seating area and lounge style fireplace outside.
Also available a bar is located on the 6th floor with the pool. Many Uber available if you wish to travel further. Locals told us to not wander around the streets in the Golden Nugget area due to violent crime. Boardwalk is fairly far away but is 5 miles long with a lot to see.

The approach and pier is 12 feet in depth. Deep water slips are the same with smaller vessels being slipped in 8 or more feet in depth. This marina has valvtec diesel and gas supplies, a pumpout at the well marked fuel area and a dining indoor and outdoor patio serving fresh food and drink. The marina is in a well protected harbor with 15, 30 amp power and some 50 amp and water. Restrooms and showers are also on-site. The pier is available to slip at with no services overnight or for a landing fee for day use and can accommodate vessels over 150 feet. Located directly beside Lakeside Park and beach with walking paths and picnic areas are great for dog walks. An old authentic carousel with authentic 100 year old style is in the park. The price is .05 cents and/or donation. Restaurants are available along the old Town of Port Dalhousie with biking and walking paths leading to historic sites of the 1st Welland Canal. World class Henley Rowing Centre is a short few blocks but you can watch rowers, usually daily, along the waterway about 1 block away. Many events for rowing are in June each year. A great destination for a night while waiting or returning from the traversing of the Welland Canal approximately 5 miles away.

East side of cement wall is 7 feet. Mid wall is 5 feet. West cement wall is 3 feet. Cement wall in good shape. Floating dock is for Erie Canal Cruises only. It's a nice spot with security cams, lights and a museum. Walmart is a 5 minute bike ride or 20 minute walk away. Great spot for the pups. No power. It wouldn't take much for them to put in a couple 50 and 30 amps on the Erie Canal Cruises building where the cement wall is. A little traffic noise during the day. I didn't give it a 5 because there is no power.

We stayed here for 2 nights. If the winds are from the west or northwest this anchorage will be rocky. Stop in the 6-8 foot water depth on the west side of gull island for some wave protection if a blow comes from the north or east. It has a great access to the lock for staging for Bahamas as well as a prefect vantage point for a liftoff from the launch sites. We took the dingy to Island Time Marina on Banana River for a 3 block walk to the touristy area of Cocoa Beach.

We stayed at an anchor spot near the northeast side of the inlet in 8-10 feet of water. 6 inch tide at this spot but a good current. Only anchor here on a low wind day as it is exposed in all directions. It is a short dingy ride to the basin to the north side of the inlet just after the causeway for snorkeling and swimming. It is a State Park for Sebastian. Visibility for snorkeling is fair.

Excellent anchorage in 10 feet of water. Low or high tide wasn't a problem in March 2017. Current is not that strong. Your boat anchor should have no problem with the 1 knts. We spent 2 nights on the hook. We took the dingy up past the Harbortown Marina on the small river to an embankment that is directly behind Publix. It You can also stop at the marina for a ride or a 5 block walk or stop on the little river where the small beach is and walk 2-3 blocks. We went to the Manatee research center beside the Fort Pierce Marina by dingy. We also went to the Naval and Navy Seal Museum by dingy. The docks to the public access are being rebuilt as of Mar 2017 and a short dock are coming. We tied to a drain culvert at the number 3 Pier in the Wildcat Cove Park. The museum boasts the actual lifeboat of the captured Captain Philips that the movie with Tom Hanks was made off of. Worth the trip.

The anchorage is mostly rock. However, the most difficult is the getting into the anchorage. There are rocks on both side that jut out so that you must do a zigzag style of getting in. Shallow rock isn't apparent at all times depending on depth and waves. Not recommended unless you are assured of the meandering you will have todo to get in.

Everything has closed up here with only a reservation only restaurant available. Not worth the stop unless you have to because of time or weather or you really just want to hang out on your own. The town charges to bring your dingy to shore. I recall $10.00 but town only offers a quick walk about. No provisions remotely close by.

Great marina with excellent facilities and a good stop for customs to the USA.

Other than the constant rolling rock from the high speed ferries that run it is an excellent marina. Walking distance to everything that Mackinaw Island has to offer.

Great location. Good service. The only problem is that as a transient speaking with the harbor house is that the marina is run by college students who don't really know what a boater needs. We were assigned a slip that was at least a foot too narrow and also noticed that the edge of the dock had metal sticking out. They allowed us a spot on a reserved dock eventually. Even with that issue the marina is excellent for security, facilities and just adjacent to many major attractions.

Excellent service. Just a quick walk to the sites of the renewed waterfront area.
