We came in by dinghy to survey the fuel dock before trying to dock. Glad we did. The current was ripping! There is no dinghy dock and no ladders to climb up onto the docks. We cruised back and forth for 30 minutes and did not see a single person, so we moved on. We heard other boats attempting to contact them on ch16 with no response.
Suggest you have an appointment ahead of time and you need to have a lot of power and maneuverability to get into and out of the fuel dock.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 47'
Draft: 4.0'Overall Rating:Wind Protection:Wake Protection:Scenic Beauty:Shore Access:Pet Friendly:We did not anchor here. We made it in after sitting aground for 2.5 hours. You have to be very careful on the entrance. There is a dredged channel, stay close to the spoil jetty. On entering, you need good daylight overhead to see the deeper water. One of the markers is missing so don't focus on the one that is there!
Once we made it inside I just felt that we did not have enough room to swing safely. We are a 47' power cat with only 3.5' draft. We changed our plan and headed on North to Morgan's Bluff.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Large anchorage with plenty of room and excellent holding. Be careful to stay out of the channel into the Govt Dock. Large cargo ships come in and out and you don't want to be in their way. There is also a commercial dock on the East side. Introduce yourself at Below Decks beach bar. If you need provisions or assistance clearing customs they are friendly and looking to help. Excellent beach bar vibe. Fuel is available at the Govt dock. Easy to get in and out.

Draft: 4.0'Overall Rating:Holding:Wind Protection:Current Flow:Wake Protection:Scenic Beauty:Shore Access:Pet Friendly:Anchored here 2 nights. We fled Morgan's Bluff due to Strong Winds out of N. This was better but not great. Shallow water buffered the waves and we had excellent holding in deep sand. We were anchored very close to Goat Cay so we had to keep a close eye on the anchor. Anchor held nicely.

Limited facilities, no fuel, No dinghy dock. There is a big ramp used by the regular 'Mail Boat'. There are steps just to the right of the big ramp. Plan on having someone stay with dinghy. You can drop off garbage no charge. There is a liquor store across from the ramp and a small grocery store just a block or so away. Stock depends on when the mail boat was last in port. Friendly people.

This is an abandoned US Navy facility and there are no facilities. But, if you need a safe place to dock, check this out. We came in from the Tongue of the Ocean through the well marked channel. Never saw less than 9' depth. We put out every fender we had and tied up directly to the seawall. When we departed, there was a SE wind 10-15k that wanted to pin us to the seawall. So be aware of the weather. Good snorkeling along the seawall and mooring pileings. Lobster and yellow tail snapper may be found.

Clean bathrooms & shower facilities with key cards for marina guests. Yes the current can rip here & in wind vs tide the mooring cans will go under & on the side of your vessel at tide change; no big deal. Highly recommend! A bargain for all the amenities provided!
