This place was apparently awesome once upon a time. It appears to be coming back under new ownership, but it's still a work in progress. Many indoor spaces appear to be used for storage.
Tony was very helpful in getting us tied up and checked in. Our 37-foot boat was assigned a fixed dock. There are many smaller floating docks.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The scope of service, professionalism and genuine care offered by Captain Tony Ashburn is right off the charts, far beyond the call of duty. Coming and going over five years finally convinced me to move here this last year and a half. It's truly one of the great marinas not just because of the management and staff, including Ford, but certainly one of the most beautiful anywhere in the world. Absolutely everything, including a gym and loaner vehicle, is here in a serenely quiet setting - a veritable bird haven - on the very edge of the Bay.

Visited on 6 July for lunch at the Tiki Bar. Marina staff was most helpful in getting us to their face dock. Excellent lunch and efficient and friendly staff as well. We'll be back!

Pulled in for an overnight in June of '22 and stayed two due to weather and a sick first mate. Great service and hospitality. Marina accommodated some special requests due to the sick mate. Bottom line, had to return to NC after Windmill Point, but we'll be back.

Water a little skinny coming in and go all the way out around the long fish trap and head straight in at the middle of the day markers. Floating dock is great, everyone is friendly, food was awesome at the TIKI bar and the beverages were ice cold.

Outstanding hospitality and reasonable rates. The Tiki bar is open and serves a 'Miami Vice' that you need to try. Band on Saturday nights!

Very nice marina with nice people. Be aware 2 hours after low tide there was less than 3' of water beneath our boat (Carver 560 Voyager) in the channel. Use caution. Otherwise awesome place!!

Great stop on the Chesapeake. We were there for a Saturday night and they had a band. Nice bar and restaurant with reasonable prices. The pool was not filled with water yet. They are doing a ton of work around the place and it looks good.

Very well protected marina in an incredible and secluded location. Wonderful beach right at the marina, facilities were very clean. The lone staff member when we were there (it was winter hours at that point) was very helpful.
During winter hours the restaurant is closed, so make sure you have food aboard or check to see if its open.
The dock/fingers are fixed and are extremely high for smaller boats like mine. Larger cruising boats didn't have too much trouble, but it was a challenge for us to get in and out of the boat, especially with a dog.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Dockmaster and staff did an excellent job. We stayed 2 nights over July 4. The dockmaster was constantly inspecting area to make sure only authorized boaters were using facilities to make sure they were in compliance with COVID regulation. This assured us that the pool area wouldn’t become over crowded. Tiki bar food was good and clean. I highly recommend the marina. We will return.

We were looking for a spot to hang out for a couple of days while boating on the Chesapeake Bay. As luck would have it we found Windmill Point Marina. What aesthetically beautiful place. Tony Ashland the Dock Master was phenomenal and provided us with all we needed for our time there. The staff was friendly and attentive to all of our needs. Bear even provided a much needed item which was right on time!! The tiki bar crew was fabulous Jamie and Niki made it happen! Good food, cold drinks to order was fantastic. The bath houses are nicely designed, clean and comfortable! We are definitely coming back and I expect all the same great things in the future!

The docks and grounds here are beautiful, but is still an underused marina. Easy access off of the Bay. The only time it gets many boats are on the weekends for the Tiki Bar. Beautiful, remote area. The pool and restrooms housekeeping care has improved and we had no issues with the facilities. Large building on site has sat unfinished since 2007, don't know if it will ever be finished before the whole area erodes away--- shoreline has been disappearing over the years.

Unbelievable setting for the Rappahannock / Bay. Nice beach with cornhole, a pool, Tiki Bar with great food. And a wonderful stop off point between Solomons and Norfolk.
