Beautiful beaches on Bay and Atlantic. Marina channel is a bit skinny, but even at low tide we were able to exit (3.5' draft). Dock and marina store staff were very friendly and helpful. Depending on your dock site, you can have a lot of foot traffic right next to your boat. This could disturb your pets, but everyone was very friendly.

A gem. Well protected, water and electric available. Bath facilities shared with park campground and clean, well maintained. A little shallow at entrance only, come in on rising tide. This is more of a campground for boats, not a resort. Abundance of wildlife- manatee, nurse sharks, birds. Nice beach, good snorkeling. Store has a nice snack bar. Stayed a week and could have done another week - very relaxing. Bus as mentioned previously- $1 if over 60 and can get to groceries in Marathon or Big Pine, or can go all the way to key West for the day.

Nice little Marina. Friendly staff. Shallow channel to get into marina. Be sure to come in at above low tide unless you have a shallow draft boat. Island is a State Park so no amenities except for snack bar in office.

Beautiful place to stay! Capt David and the rest of the crew were very friendly and helpful. The store at the marina sells sandwiches, drinks, ice cream, pizza, etc. The entrance is narrow but I witnessed large catamarans and sailboats with 4-5 foot keels passing without issue. There is a bus stop at the park entrance that goes to Marathon and Key West. We were able to resupply in Marathon at the Publix but make sure you pull the cord to stop at the park entrance on the return or the driver will not stop. Beautiful beaches as well!

If you have the time this is a great stop. The entrance is dredged, I saw 5' under the keel. The bay is smaller and the largest boat should be 45' max. Well protected bay from most all directions, unique in that you can walk part of the old Overseas Highway, and see both the Atlantic and Florida Bay. Staff was helpful and friendly. You do have access with bikes to US-1, its a long way to anything. A worthwhile stop over.
