Stonington, CT
Stonington is Connecticut’s easternmost cruising port and the only one with some Atlantic Ocean exposure. Locals claim (with some justice) to have the most beautiful harbor on the East Coast.
This village peninsula (called the Borough) is home to Connecticut’s only remaining full-time, year-round fishing fleet. Stonington Borough boasts the third largest collection of historic houses and sites in CT. Many date from the mid-18th century and include former homes of notable patriots, shipwrights and ship captains.
