The town of Sister Bay has all the usual services and an amazing assortment of shops and restaurants, from gourmet to casual. A local landmark is Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik (920-854-2626), where Scandinavian-garbed staff members deliver wafer-thin pancakes and Swedish dishes while goats graze on the grass roof. They are open from May to October.

Fish Creek is a fun area of Wisconsin with great places to shop, eat and explore. The vast 3,776-acre park created by Eagle Bluff is Peninsula State Park (920-868-3258), one of the most visited park facilities in the state.
In addition to camping, boating and miles of hiking and biking trails, the park has an impressive 18-hole golf course.
The historic restored Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, built in 1868, overlooks a 180-foot bluff. There is an on-site museum and tours of the light are available.
