Drummond Island, MI
Drummond Island is roughly 20 miles long and 12 miles across and includes 53 outlying islands. Because of this, it offers an outstanding opportunity for long distance kayak touring. The Drummond Island Heritage Water Trail is a series of water links to interest points along a 60-mile loop.
Drummond Island also has one of the largest closed-loop ATV/ORV trail systems in the U.S. and local vendors will be glad to get you set up for that. Of course, the hiking options are limitless.
If that all sounds a little too ambitious, the Drummond Island Historical Museum is close to the marina on S. Water St. (906-493-5746) and is open seasonally.
The Waterway Guide Team has gained extensive boating knowledge over the years, and now we are sharing all of the tips, skills and tools we’ve picked up along the way!
