Great spot at the head of Boot Key Harbor. Very well protected in all winds, nice pool, great pizza, Publix next door and free weekly pumpout. Spent three weeks here fixing the generator and doing some maintenance-will be back again! Would have been 5 stars but there is still hurricane damage.

Great spot to enjoy the island. The marina lets you leave the dinghy there for $20 and you get; free laundry, use of bicycles or golf cart, restaurant on site. Short walk to shopping and ocean beach. May become an annual stop. Dockmaster Chris is awesome.

We anchored farther up, past the fort. No boats went by so no wakes. Current did NOT reverse during that week. Anchor set well and came up clean. Will do this again.

A 45-foot trawler with four foot draft using a 20 kg Bruce anchor. Anchor set immediately on the first try and held us here for a week of current shifts and winds up to 15 knots. Scenery was nice with high grass marshes as far as you can see and you could see over them at high tide and they blocked everything at low tide. Will definitely stop by here again. Easy dinghy ride over to Hogan's Marina adjacent to a Publix market, nice restaurant and both medical and dental facilities right there for Cruisers.
