At the Arcadia Area Historical Museum (3340 Lake St., 231-889-4360) you can learn about the town’s logging history and view the remains on the beach of the schooner Minnehaha, which sank in 1893.
A park with tennis courts is nearby. There are Lake Michigan sandy beaches both to the north and south of the inlet. Visit either of these by dinghy or walk to the north beach from the marinas.
