We anchored a little west and south of the anchor mark in the Waterway Guide. Anchor south of the inlet for production from winds from the.west and south. Never saw less than 9' when entering the channel. The most recent USACE survey show to favor just left of center in the entrance channel. Good holdingin mud bottom. There were no weeds on the anchor when it was pulled up. This is a great anchorage.

Great anchorage. Good mud although messy when pulling up. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. The channel has been dredged, 8.5 feet at the most shallow point. Dinghy access across from Veterans Marina for pets. Lake Arcadia is a quiet, peaceful spot for the night with not much in town.

We ducked in here to get off of bumpy Lake Michigan for lunch. They were dredging the channel which we cautiously travelled into Arcadia lake. We saw less than two feet under the boat at one point. Once halfway in the channel gets deeper ~8.5' then 11' as you get to the lake. Easy hook set. Muddy bottom, not many weeds where we were. Mud stuck to the anchor as we pulled it up so we took a little extra time with the wash down. Once the channel is dredged this would be a nice stop for a night or just a break.
