Portage Lake - SW
- Lat / Lon: N 44° 21.403' / W 086° 15.243'
- Depth: 10 - 12 feet
- Description:
Anchored in 10' of water about 300' from the south shore not too far from the channel to Lake Michigan. Sandy bottom with some weeds. Nice spot with beautiful homes on the shoreline. In the evening some deer were helping keep the lawn in check. There were some small wakes in the afternoon and again in the morning as fisherman went out. We liked this spot with good protection from wind except maybe from the east. We did not attempt going in to Onekama which was probably 1.5 mile by dinghy from us.
