Titusville lives up to its slogan “Gateway to Nature and Space.” Kennedy Space Center is within 20 minutes of the waterfront with exhibits, tours and interactive experiences related to NASA's space program including historic spacecraft and artifacts.
The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore are also close by and provide many opportunities to enjoy natural Florida including horseback riding, kayaking, nature trails and pristine beaches. This offers a great chance to see a variety of wildlife such as manatees and alligators. Another option for hiking and bird watching is Enchanted Forest Sanctuary. Transportation required. And, for those who love to fish, Titusville is also known as the “Redfish Capitol of the World."
