Lake Michigan is the second largest Great Lake at 22,300 square miles and boasts some of the bluest water north of the Caribbean, although it barely reaches 75 degrees.

The lake has a well-deserved reputation for offering some of the most rewarding cruising, while also having some of the most frustrating conditions. Contributing to this is fluctuating water levels with higher levels in the spring and lower levels in the fall.
