Pentwater, a charming lake shore town on the fringes of a series of large beach dunes, is 12 miles south of Ludington. The town provides a pleasant stopover for cruisers and an ideal spot during inclement weather. You are in the heart of some of Michigan’s finest orchards and farmlands: Asparagus, cherries and peaches are produced in abundance in the inland areas near Pentwater.
A good way to see these delights is to visit their Farmers’ Market every Monday and Thursday morning (327 S. Hancock St.). There is lots of great shopping, restaurants and scenery to take in Pentwater. The city provides city-wide free WiFi.
