The Big Chute Railway, ON, CAN

The Big Chute is the only marine railway of its kind in North America. The Big Chute has a 58-foot vertical drop in which water rushes down a long granite chute between the Upper Severn River and Gloucester Pool. The Big Chute railway portages your vessel across land and down the chute on twin tracks.

Many cruisers visit beautiful Beausoleil Island and enjoy miles of hiking trails. On the southern end the trails take you through verdant, lowland forests.
