Thirty Thousand Islands, ON, CAN
The Thirty Thousand Islands region is one of the great cruising grounds of the world. The islands create the world’s largest freshwater archipelago.
Within its boundaries cruisers can enjoy the facilities of the Georgian Bay Islands National Park located close to Midland and Penetanguishene.
Of the park’s 59 islands, Beausoleil Island is the largest. Here the hardy evergreens of the northern Canadian Shield meet the deciduous hardwood forest of the southern lowlands. The ancient granite shoreline, the windswept pines, the sparkling waters and abundant wildlife make this an unforgettable journey.
The Waterway Guide Team has gained extensive boating knowledge over the years, and now we are sharing all of the tips, skills and tools we’ve picked up along the way!
