Lake Simcoe at 20 miles long and 16 miles wide is the largest lake on the Trent-Severn Waterway. The lake has several large islands, one of which is an Ojibway Nation Indian Reservation (Georgina). Good cruising abounds in three major bays: Kempenfelt Bay (named for a British Admiral) has a big boating center at Barrie, and McPhee Bay and Cook’s Bay have facilities on both sides.
