Stopped by for fuel and a pumpout. Andy was really helpful with everything. Crew checked out the boutique and said it was terrific. Would have stayed at marina but it was booked already for the Oyster Festival. Will need to make reservation earlier in future. It is very convenient to downtown and the docks and whole operation are very nicely maintained.

Chart has fish trps well marked, there is plenty of room in the channel to pass by them with no issues. Anchorage was excellent, sand bottom, great holding, no mess on retrieval! Large beach available for pets. Some cruisers even had a bonfire on the beach. Room in anchorage for at least a dozen boats or more. Very little traffic from Antipoison create so no wakes to contend with. In October, there were maybe a half dozen traps in the anchorage area. With so much room it was easy to find space to anchor. Cell coverage was LTE only on AT&T.

Good holding in mud, but we had light winds that day so not put to test. Depending on wind direction, there is a spot for protection around this anchorage. A pet friendly park is at the dinghy dock and shopping is a short walk away. Our ATT service worked out here.

Great place to stay in Solomons Island! A favorite in the cruising community for good reason. Helpful, friendly staff, easy walk to West Marine, great onsite store, pool, pool bar and more. Very protected spot in bad weather, we rode out a front passage here with 40 knot winds but things were calm at the dock. Docks are fixed, wooden but well maintained and transitioning to synthetic decking materials. 50amp power was steady throughout our stay. Pet Friendly stop with plenty of space. Zimmerman boat yard also on-site if services are required.

We stayed five nights in DC at the Capital Yacht Club and it was a great place to stay. Right in the middle of the newly developed Wharf area of Southwest DC, this area is thriving with nightlife, restaurants, music venues, and more to complement your visit to the capital city. If you care to take in some live sports, the Washington Nationals's stadium is only a short Uber ride, as is the Spirit soccer team's stadium.
Transportation options abound with the free Wharf shuttle to the Metro and of course, Washington National airport right across the River.

The CYC staff were very nice and helpful and their property and docks are gorgeous. Pumpout is available in slip, Laundry and restrooms are great, the restaurant is open from Happy Hour onward.

We really enjoyed wheeling around the capital on eBikes from Capital Bikeshare and saw just about every one of the larger monuments by riding around town.

We had a nice stay at The Boathouse Marina. We' were greeted by three dockhands despite our arrival right at closing time. Approach in channel is well marked and we carried 6-7 feet all the way in. Current can be moving at entrance to Monroe Bay. Captain's Lounge, baths and showers are all clean and well maintained. Use of golf cart to roam around Colonial Beach was included with slip fees and a lot of fun. A great way to explore Marina Way and the town! October is really quiet here. Much more going on in Summer months, but still a great stop on a cruise up/down the Potomac. Watch for the many crab traps as you get closer to shore on your approach to Monroe Bay!
