Anchorage Review for Beaver Island

Draft: 6.9'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:1Current Flow:4Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:5We anchored in 38 knot gusts. Spent 8 hours on the hook in the high 20's, low 30's and didn't budge and inch. The anchorage is exposed to the south and of course that was where the wind was from. The marina is directly downwind. We had no shot of making that. We anchored in 10ft with a 65 Mantus 2 with 150' of chain. Dropped a stern anchor too, but probably didn't need it.

What an amazing little spot! The best harbor shop so far. Really good menu and ice cream shop on site. The store had a little of everything. We are deep keeled and had no problem. The staff was so helpful. I wish we could have stayed a full day.

Love this marina! Super friendly and accommodating staff. Courtesy car available to take you up the hill to the shops. Clean new hot showers with laundry. We're a deep-keeled sailboat 6'9" and had no problem. Highly recommend!

Great little spot. This was our first stop heading north from St. Clair Shores. Lovely restaurant on site and great sunrises!
