After staying at the Clayton Municipal Marina we needed fuel. RJ Marine is close, they were helpful, friendly and had good fuel prices.

Visited August 2022. The marina is well marked and the dock staff very helpful as we first needed a pump-out and then made our way to th slip. Very nice floating docks. We were at the outer docks which as the previous reviewer noted are a bit of a walk. However well worth it as the view from these slips are beautiful.
The walk into town is short and there are enough places to give you plenty of choices to choose. I found GAN brewing a nice stop with a great historical building. We stopped at the Purple House restaurant for pizza and then to the Pump House for ice creme. All well worth the visit.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I read other reviews and hear there are floating docks. My review is based on the fixed dock I was assigned which had a small 6-8 foot finger dock and poles to lasso at your bow. My beam is 14.5 and they said the poles were 16 ft apart which I found tight.
Additionally the fairway between docks was narrow as I had to manuever to not touch the opposite docked boats.
I asked what the price of diesel was and they said $7.48 per gallon. To me this is crazy as I later found at the next marina a few miles away diesel at $5.80 per gallon.
All this being said... the marina has a courtesy car, nice boaters lounge, and their restaurant has a great view and good food.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

This is a nice marina to spend time at. When we arrived just missed their "open house" party, but the Owner came up to us and showed us there was still free food (which tasted great), talked to us for a bit. Which I thought was great that he'd take the time to do so. They have a nice pool, although we didn't use it, it's a good size pool. The bathroom facilities are nice. They have a courtesy golf cart that we took advantage of to get a ride into "town".
At the time their diesel was $5.80/gal which I think is reasonable compared to our previous marina a few miles away that was at $7.48!!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

This is a good location to stop in preparation to head down the C&D canal, and Delaware River. I believe this is the only marina in Chesapeake City that has fuel. As the price of diesel is steadily heading up theirs was $5.85 plus they give BOATUS and AGLCA discounts.
There is a current, but what areas around here don't don't have a current? Since the main dockage is along a fixed dock it's fairly easy to pull up and the dockmaster is very helpful and friendly.
I ate at the restaurant (nothing else around) the food is good. There aren't any showers, but I didn't find that to be an issue.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
