What a lovely experience at Urbanna Town Marina! We live across the Rappahannock River from Urbanna and took friends to Urbanna for lunch. We called as we approached the marina to ask if they had a T-head on which we might tie up for several hours. The dockmaster immediately invited us in and said that he would be down directly to assist with lines. The tie up is free under many circumstances, the facilities attractive and well-maintained, and the dockmaster and his assistant (wife?) lovely and helpful. We couldn't have had a nicer experience. AND he complimented our new boat!

Lovely small marina with friendly, helpful staff. Reservations recommended if during a busy time. Marina was recently updated. Walk a short distance to the center of town with several restaurant options. The Charlotte Hotel has a consistently excellent restaurant and bar. The marina even offers a list of local residents who offer assistance to boaters with transportation or other needs. Delightful.

These people were WONDERFUL. We arrived after a long day of travel on the rough Hudson in incredibly strong, gusty winds in a 36' boat. They helped us wrestle her safely to the dock and managed other arriving boats similarly well. Nash, on the dock, pointed out to us that our dinghy, mounted on the on the stern of the boat, was not supported properly (a support had broken enroute in the rough waters) and immediately helped us get it fixed. The owner, Nick, took my husband to the local Home Depot to get a part needed for the repair and wouldn't accept payment for the ride. Others who keep their boats regularly at the marina stopped by to offer needed muscle or guidance or encouragement. What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this marina to transients or to anyone else!
