Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:Holding:Wind Protection:Current Flow:Wake Protection:Scenic Beauty:Great anchorage with good holding. Anchor came up easily from clay mud. Not much wind protection if needed, but we had calm night. The dock at shore has private property signs on it, so we did not go ashore. Would definitely come back.

Around next bend seems slightly less. Good spot to wait if you are going north and want to time the tide through Dawho River.

Draft: 6.0'Overall Rating:Holding:Wind Protection:Current Flow:Wake Protection:Scenic Beauty:Cell Service:Absolutely beautiful place to stop on a sunny afternoon. Closed area (wildlife refuge) to the north. Be warned: at night hunters tear around with small unlighted outboard vessels (and in thick fog), and in the morning they wage war on anything they may (or may not) actually see -- also in thick fog. Make sure you are visible (and audible in fog).
