Plenty of room and good holding. Easy short distance off ICW. We had mild winds so just sat in the current. Plenty of swing room. Had good cellar coverage and TV stations off our TV antenna. We did not have any wakes overnight. Nice sunrise.

Quiet, anchor came up clean with 125' rode, reversing current but no issue with lots of room. Boats all stayed on South shore as there are Georgia restrictions on being too close to North shore. Easy in/out and convenient distance.

Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:4Holding:5Wind Protection:4Current Flow:3Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:5Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:3Pet Friendly:3Cell Service:3The Crescent River Anchorage is an easy off from the AICW at Mile Marker 642.8 by simply turning north into the Crescent River. The river, all the way up to the Cedar Creek turn off is an excellent anchorage for 5 to 8 40'+ boats anchored in a line up the river in 15' mlw depths with plenty of swing room for the change in orientation due to tides of up to 7 feet. Holding is very good in sandy mud with good wind and wave protection. Wakes will show up early in the morning as boats move out of the commercial docks but the boats that passed us were moving slowly with minimal issues. The tidal movement will be the controlling force in your anchor orientation. There is shore access on the southern side of the AICW for Fido but no onshore attractions for boaters. Cellular reception is fair to good for the majors. We spent an easy night at anchor here even though there was a midnight passage of a set of thunderstorms that contained 40 mph wind gusts. Definitely a good anchorage if you pay attention to anchor scope.

The holding is excellent and there's a sandy beach for pet relief by R156 that's above water at all tide levels. This is a very convenient stop for us between Savannah and Jekyll Island.

Least depth observed at low tide was 15'. Several small fishing boats as well as a shrimp boat came by, but they slowed down and gave us plenty of room. The sunrise over Sapelo Island was to die for.
