Chose this spot on a fast 3 day run to Demopolis from Counce. We were running sun up to sun down each day. Did five locks and ran out of daylight. Turned into anchorage and found two other boats anchored. Dropped the anchor at33°1.526'N • 88°13.780'W in 12' of water. Current kept us straight. Peaceful night. Anchor came up clean. Departed 30 min before sunrise. Great T-Mobile and good Verizon service. Sam from WhatYachtToDo ?

Turned back to where it was a little wider because the wind was bringing us toward the bank. 60' of chain and snubber. Not much current, so we swung with the wind, but enough room to swing so that no stern anchor was required. Anchor came up clean with just a little bit of sandy mud. Great (Verizon) cell signal.

Move over to 50 feet off the RDB moving upcurrent in 15 feet of water. Just before the tail of the island move center channel for good anchoring in 10 to 1 feet of water with good protection from wind and waves from all directions except from the east. Good holding in mud and a small current to help you stay oriented with the chute direction. No shore access. Cellular quality is 3 bars for the big three.
