Just a short note to review Williams Island Marina. Barbara's attention to detail is a pleasure when checking in and making a reservation easy to understand ,Bill the Harbor Master is quick to respond any needs you might have. Ken was quick to meet us at the dock when we arrived thank you Ken. This facility is top of the line.
The main office has a gym showers office rooms at your disposal a coffee room laundry facilities everything is cleaned daily and it shows this is one beautiful location and to top it off you get to use the facilities for the swimming pool & bar Just ask Juan or Derek at the pool for drinks and food .The tennis courts at Williams Island Marina will please any pro although I did not play on the courts I did have a bite to eat at the restaurant and it was a pleasure To watch the courts below. Dock side fueling must arrange with office. This is a secure facility with monitors at the gates.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Marina Review for Hoppie's Marine Service

After a 0700 departure from Alton and a 1 hr delay at Mel Price lock we arrived at Hoppies at 1330, average speed was 9 knots. Four 40' something loa boats fit no problem. Reservations are required. Diesel, gasoline & electricity provided and a 5 ish pm river briefing by Debbie (important to attend). Get there before 1500 for lunch and pie at the local restaurant Blue Owl bakery. Easy walk, see the old rock fence and structure of the old KIM house on the left as you walk. Great fresh food and terrific people. Don't let the well weathered Hoppies facility discourage you from stopping in. You haven't done the loop without stopping in to see the real America and truly helpful people. Leave your attitude at the boat and enjoy the character of the location.
