I have to agree that it's a very nice marina, but it really doesn't cater to the middle class cruiser. We anchored in the lagoon near OPC for a few nights while we replaced our windlass. I do plan on buying fuel & water from them when we depart in the AM. In the meantime, we only needed a few bags of ice, so I dinghied into the marina to get it. We have a new, very good looking Takacat & motor, mind you. I was given the feeling by the staff that I was a 2nd rate person & generally felt looked down upon because I wasn't on a mega-yacht. Our only other experience at a Safe Harbor marina was in Marathon, FL. They were great!

I have stayed here several times before but always in the main marina. This time, I was assigned to the north basin which is 0.45 miles from the main marina. The north basin is removed from the laundry, the office, and the restaurant, all of which are located in the main marina. The north basin doesn't seem to be as protected and is mainly used for very large (50 to 200 ft) boats. Electric (50 amp) is $35/night. The lighting at our dock and some others was not working. I expect that the main marina is still 5 stars but because of the remoteness of the north basin, I think 3 stars is more appropriate.

All of the amenities are first class including floating docks that have adjustable cleats. Water, electrical, and pump out connections are located at each slip. Very nice restaurant and weight room on premises.

Safe Harbor has done a good job with staff & facilities. Just completing upgrade of laundry facilities (folding table pending, all new machines work well). Restaurant is now open.

We called 5 minutes before closing and they were quick to offer the fuel dock for the night. I expected to be on our own given closing time, but they came racing out in the golf cart to make sure we got tied up safe. Great showers, restaurant was closed during our stay

Excellent marina, wide docks in great shape, WIFI excellent, fresh water, dock $3.20' plus $50.00 for 100 amp, no discount for Boat US or anything else, probably fair for quality and area. Restaurant is ok. Marina facility is excellent.

This year was our fourth year staying for a week plus at OPC. Everything is first class here. When you check in, they give you a bottle of wine. Joe, the dockmaster, stayed late to help us dock. Beautiful wide docks in great shape. Friendly and helpful dock hands check several times a day on the boats. On-site restaurant has good food. Doris's, an Italian bakery and grocery store is a 1.5 mile walk. Easy access to Lake Worth inlet. Lots of repair people on-site. Gary got our horn working again. Only negative is that $25/day for 50 amp is out of line with other marinas.

I found this marina to be top notch is all aspects. A great location, well marked channel, nice docks, plenty of helpful staff, TV & WiFi at the docks, a good restaurant & sandwich bar (that delivers to your boat), and a very competitive transient rate for this area (especially after the BoatUS discount). Some folks may be put off by all the high rise condos surrounding the marina, but that's Palm Beach.
