Last Lockage
Follow these guidelines to maximize chances of being locked through at the end of the day:
- At lockstations with one lock, boaters must arrive at the designated blue line 30 minutes before closing
- At lockstations with more than one lock, 30 minutes per lock chamber is required (example: three locks = arrive 90 minutes before closing)
- At swing bridges (including Brass Point Bridge) boaters must arrive 20 minutes before closing
More information
- Access to lockstations is prohibited between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am
- Lockstations are not staffed after-hours
- For emergencies after-hours, please call 911 for police, fire, ambulance

Draft: 4.5'Stayed overnight. Lots of restaurant noise that quieted down, and train noise that did not. From here it was about 2hrs at 8 knots to St Catherine lock in Montreal.

Draft: 4.5'5 Jul 2023. We locked through the St.Anne lock and tied to the lower lock wall. Even though there was no power there this was a superb stop. There are so many restaurants there that you could choose whatever you wanted to eat. There is frequent train noise but once inside our boat in the AFT cabin it did not bother us. This is truly a must stop! There was a public restroom just about 75 feet from where we were parked, and also the lock staff gave us the code to the restrooms at the lock. No showers available. Draft: 3.8'Bridge clearance in end of july 2022 (at low water level) was 38'. Call the lock master to confirm water level. Inside the lock there's a flotting dock on the south wall (port side if you are going up) that you tie up to with cleats or you will be tied up on shoulder to an other boat. The staff will help you and collect the money there (1$/foot in 2022). The staff on #68 will direct you. Before the locking, you call them on vhf or go wait on the blue line on the north side if you are going up.
