We stayed at this dock since the other one was full. It's just a few blocks further from downtown. But the good thing about that it's much quieter. Be prepared for ships & tugs. They are fun to watch. They do create some pretty good wakes. While you are awake no big deal, but at 5 AM they started going again and woke us from a deep sleep. The boat was rocking & rolling big time. Our biggest thing to warn you about, if you are going to dock here make sure your bow is facing west/upstream. We spent 2 hours cleaning junk out from the motors & swim platform. There was 4 - 4' 4x4, a piece of plywood, numerous floating logs and garbage.

When we checked in at the city dock to the West we were told this dock is no longer to be used for overnight stays.

This a long new concrete floating dock near a condo/apartment complex, part of which is still under construction. There are no amenities (no power, water, etc). It's not right downtown so it's peaceful, yet less than a half mile to all of what Savannah offers including history, shops, and great food and drink! And, at least for now, it is free. There aren't any signs indicating you can't dock there or that it cost anything to do so. We felt safe and experienced very little wake during our two-night stay on a Monday and Tuesday.

There is no security to be seen, no bathrooms, water, laundry, pump-out, fuel, etc. but great locations to see Savannah. They appear to be free and in good condition. Dock Master said water/power were shut off because of COVID and has not been turned on. There are power pedestals but they are not active. Dock accessibly down a ramp from the public walkway. Very few boats here. Very quiet and google shows the area under construction but that has now been completed and it's an upscale condo/apartment complex. Within walking distance of downtown. Nice walking path along river to get to River Street downtown.
