Or tie up at Yoli's "Yat" Club for the price of a cold beverage. Laundry service near Yoli's, lots of grocery stores w/in walking distance as well as restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Yoli's will call propane service for you and are a treasure trove of information for cruisers. Holding and protection as stated in posted information.

Free Dock Review for Elizabeth's Dock (Chesapeake, VA)

Nice, quiet place to spend the night - be advised this is immediately north of the lock (locktender was very good!). Also the approach to the lock is very shallow in places - pay attention to your depth. Grocery store and a couple restaurants within half a mile, convenience store and gas station around the corner. Quiet park to relax in off the dock.

Approached bridge from south, radioed bridge tender approx. .6 miles from bridge at 11:39am. Tender responded he would open promptly at 12:00pm. Right side of bridge swung open at 11:59 am and we were through and on our way within 5 minutes. Easy process.
