Great stop! Inexpensive docking and free pump out. Restaurant was okay. We ate there to support the inexpensive stay. The marina is part of a KOA Campground, so very kid and dog friendly. Local boaters super friendly and welcoming. The owner is a fellow Looper.

Marina Review for Thornbury Municipal Harbour

Great stop! The beautiful, quaint downtown is a short walk away with restaurants, coffee shops, bakery, craft beer/cider, grocery store and laundromat. We spent 4 days to wait out bad weather. There is no 50 amp power, but there are twin 30 amps. There is no water hook up, but potable water is available from a hose in the middle of the dock. We just used the water tank on our boat.

Plan to come and go at high tide. Very secure! Great staff. Nice, well-maintained floating docks. Walking distance to historic district and Reading Terminal Market. So much to do. We'll definitely come back!

Marina Review for Holden Beach Transient Dock

Agree with other reviews. Enjoyed our stay. At 56 LOA, we took up the whole dock. If no one answers the phone on a weekend, call the Holden Beach Police Department. We couldn't get anyone to answer the phone at the listed number on a Saturday and the reservation page on the website didn't work. After docking, we just walked our printed reservation form and a check up to the police station - 500 yards away.

Melbourne is not tender friendly, but we did find a grassy area just south of the railroad bridge on Crane Creek, just after the Harbor Walk. The marina did not have a dinghy dock. There are many restaurants and an excellent craft brewery. The quaint downtown was worth the effort.

Excellent holding in sand. Took the dinghy to the free dinghy dock -right in town. Excellent restaurants, brewery and coffee shops within an easy walk from the dinghy dock.
