Good marina in a good location. It is still being rebuilt from the last hurricane and the fuel dock is currently still closed. Very helpful staff and they held packages for us to arrive and pick them up. The docks are fixed and this time of year when the wind shifts out of the north you can get a 3-foot tide. Two negatives with this marina. One is that their wireless internet is mostly unusable. We had some periods that we could use it, but we had to use our own Internet for the 5 days that we stayed. Verizon and AT&T cell service was good. Two is that the monthly rates on the website are misleading. You must sign a lease for a minimum of two months and the additional $200 live aboard fee will turn away most casual cruisers looking for a new location to explore. That is really too bad as this is a place where I would have stayed for a month. There are many good restaurants within a mile of the marina. There is also a great marine supply store called Ken's Marine that is within easy biking distance and the event delivered our purchase right to the boat when we bought too much to bring back on the bikes. There is a very large park between the marina and the main downtown area with good walking trails and an exercise course.

This is a very protected marina with condos to the east and tall buildings to the south.
The marina where we parked on the end of Pier 1 was about 9 feet deep on average and we easily docked the boat. Good pylons on both sides of the slips. We noted about a 1 foot tide change. The power is on the main dock and you should have at least a 50 foot power cord to reach the power. The dock is sound, but in need of some painting and maintenance. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, that have live music on Saturday night. This is not a really quiet marina it is a good marina for people that want to experience the area.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Marina Review for Morgan City Boat Dock

This is a great dock with water and power for $30 per day on 2021-01-19. You must check in with the Coast Guard VTS on channel 11 when entering the river from the ICW. They are extremely helpful. They will ask where you are going and then tell you exactly how to get there.
If you don't know how to get to this dock you will run aground. The river shoals badly and you need local knowledge to get into this dock safely.
There is almost no current once you are within about 100 feet of the dock.
They have a large board on front street directly outside of the opening in the flood gate that list many of the local businesses. Call first, as some are apparently no longer in business.
If you plan on getting to any of the restaurants that are outside of walking distance you better have your own transportation. No Uber or Lyft cars currently in this area. Nice coffee and sweets shop just down the street directly through the floodgate.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
