Bridge comment on Ellender (SR 27) Bridge

I called at 1:30 in the afternoon to schedule a 5:30 (approximate) opening. I was delayed at the Calcasieu Locks for 2 hours. I called the highway department office again to let them know my situation. They were extremely helpful. The staff they sent to the bridge for a 5:00 PM opening stayed until we finally arrived at 7:30 PM. I was very impressed with their service.
