Local man said there is no place to tie up in Mathews. Food Lion, hardware, several restaurants and ice cream. We starting walking to town on very busy road, not pedestrian friendly. A local kindly picked us up and
gave his number to call if we needed a ride back. We were able to get a Uber ride back, $8. Driver said we
were lucky that he was in the area. Lyft had no area drivers.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Favor red side till first bend then head toward marina to strbd. Good depth after that. Anchored in 12' mud past Hogans marina(some supplies, friendly). $10 dinghy tie up at Hogans. Publix next door. Ace Hardware across street. Bus stop opposite Publix to Savannah (#10). Recommend "Cheers" for character. "Basils" for pizza.

As stated above, great location, easy, secure docking on floating docks. Well protected in 20+ knot winds. We found the staff friendly and helpful, restrooms basic but clean with ample hot water. Took advantage of the location for visiting downtown attractions. Loved the Aquarium and R&R Hall of Fame. West Marine a long walk but manager gave us a ride back.
