When 1/2 mile in to the first bend and found a spot with 18 feet at high tide. Hooked first try played out 100 ft of chain. By the anchor alarm we spent most of the night sitting on the chain until 1/2 way on the out going tide.
No bugs at all but it is the middle of December. North bound in. I would think spring would be much different.
No wind protection.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

No issues getting a good anchor hold. The boat swings with the current by the tidal changes. Using Starlink
as well as a T-Moblie 5G hotspot for our internet. My wife taught two classes last night without any internet interruption. Verizon service was limited to one to two bars. Beautiful quiet setting.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Anchored in 14' of water at low tide. Plenty of water at entrance to creek. Went around 2nd bend about 1/2 mile off ICW right on top of WG anchor icon.
Holding was great. No bugs. Light wind. Put out 140' of chain. Sufficient room to swing. Was expecting thunderstorms. Two bars cell signal with Verizon. Sufficient signal to stream data. Surrounded by marsh. Beautiful setting.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

One of our propellers was turning most of the night (never had that happen before). We were surrounded by marshes and could hear lots of wildlife. We had beautiful views of the sunset and moonrise.

Room for several boats as you go up the creek. We felt secluded yet we could watch traffic on the ICW 1/4 mile away. Not much traffic on this creek. We only had 2 go by from 5pm to 10am

Quiet, with wide open marshland views, and great bird watching. Cell service: AT&T-poor, T-Mobile-poor to nonexistent.
