Overall a good anchorage, be mindful of tide. Boat launch next to the anchorage provided great access for walking and biking to provisions along with pet relief. Only downside was the wakes from fishing boats but we've experienced much worse so it wasn't awful but worth mentioning. Would stay here again.

LOA: 38'
Draft: 3.5'Overall Rating:4Holding:5Wind Protection:5Current Flow:5Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:3Ease of Shopping:3Shore Access:3Pet Friendly:4Cell Service:4This is a decent anchorage. I consider it a shoal-draft anchorage, but have seen sailboats in here, and is probably fine for a 5-6' draft as long as you get your pick of the place. As noted, the entrance to the canal off the ICW is dicey on either side. Take the center. With a boat ramp and park with sandy beach nearby, you can get ashore a couple of ways. Just have your washdown ready when you weigh anchor. It's one of those smelly, muddy spots.
