Pipeline Canal Basin
- Location: Cape Fear River
- Mile Marker: 311.2
- Lat / Lon: N 33° 55.535' / W 078° 03.586'
- Depth: 6 feet
- Description:
Great stop with excellent shore access at the boat ramp. Shallows up to the north, so be careful where you choose to drop the hook (you should drop in 5-6' of water). Muddy bottom holds well, but will make a huge, stinky, post-industrial mess when the hook comes up. There used to be a lot of derelict boats anchored and sunk in this area, but they've all been removed. Be careful entering the cut, keep to center or you may find yourself aground (or worse).
