We had great holding in strong current. No wake and we only danced a bit on our anchor when wind picked up in the morning and it was wind against current. No bugs.

We had an anxious night, not due to the anchorage, but due to the high winds and spitting wind which came up after dark, which were the outer bands of Hurricane Milton. We didn't anticipate the bad weather. Due to the current and the wind we danced on the anchor and had to relocate and reset the anchor in the dark twice. once set properly the hold was solid despite the current and high winds. Until the bad weather we had a beautiful evening and we were gifted of of the most beautiful sunsets ever where the entire shy turned orange. Marsh grass was on either side and there was no shore access. We shared the anchorage with one other vessel but we had plenty of room to ourselves. We would anchor there again and look forward to a better stay in better weather!

5-16-24 No less than 8-9 feet (low tide) to anchorage, good holding. Very little traffic with courteous boaters.

Great holding. We were anchored here in a thunderstorm passing and with opposite tide and wind. We were doing lots of dancing on anchor but we hold without of issue. Very scenic anchorage with no wake coming of ICW even with couple big boats passing with big wake.
Lots of bugs after the evening thunderstorm and night rain. Would definitely come back but make sure our hatches are closed after dark

Quiet with a good hold. The small trees help with wind. View of low country grassy areas. Popular with Great Loopers.

We went to the west side first, but this side had much better protection from the strong SW wind that was blowing hard. We shared the anchorage with one other boat. The same reversing current as everywhere along SC coast. No wake to speak of off. A few crab pots, but they are not an issue.

Great anchorage, stuck good on first try and held overnight just fine - felt like we were at a dock. Some traffic cut through but not bad, very foggy overnight but cleared fast - and we were buzzed by a large dolphin pod - so cool!

Good holding and close to ICW. Almost no wind protection.

East on and off the ICW. A lot of local traffic but otherwise little to no waves. Definitely feel the wind which made for great sleeping! Current is strong, but the holding excellent. Anchor came up clean.

Good Verizon signal, Great holding in 30mph winds. Easy on off from ICW. Great stop to get to Georgetown early.

Peaceful spot away from everything. Moderate trees only along the southern shore. Good spot to poise for an early arrival if going north to Georgetown. Had a rough night though because winds gusted to 30; higher than predicted. Santee, Minim, all anchorages in this region of Georgia have few or no trees in the marshlands so you just don’t want much wind if you stop here overnight.

Good place to spend the night with good holding and light current. No cell service with Verizon. Never had less than 8’ at low tide.
