This anchorage is right off the end of the runway at the MCAS. When the flyboys are active, it can get pretty noisy.

The anchorage is exposed to NW and SE winds, and pretty well protected from SW.

Spent a quiet night there in Nov 2023 while traveling the ICW.. Wind was less than 10 kts. Far enough from ICW that we didn't feel any wakes. Two or three fishing boats zipped by before dark. Current turned us around twice overnight, but the anchor held. We were the only boat there. It is wide open, so I don't recommend it for windy nights. We saw 4 feet of tide, but another source said to expect as much as 8 feet.
