Absolutely beautiful anchorage with a restaurant and public boat launch. New chef as of October 2024 and the Cajun seafood style was delicious! Good wind protection from N/NW. waves are considerably smaller here than out in the Potomac, good shelter. Difficult holding in 11ft and 12ft waters. Did have to navigate through 1 line of crab pots at entrance but no grids. Originally dropped anchor 4 times, didn't catch well, set a 10:1 scope in 8knt winds and 15knt gusts. Held through night but dragged slowly in 18knt gusts and current. Use an anchor alarm here, can't tell what the ground is, anchor comes up clean. Didn't try anchoring in 14ft waters yet as we're hiding from wind. Tried to re-anchor with the delta two more times and let out 200ft of chain, seems to be holding for now. Decent cell service and shore access via beach. Docks for restaurant are nearly 8ft high, though there was a shorter dock for viewing the sunset, still a small climb out of dinghy.

Easy in, 10-15 depth, no traffic after dusk, hardly moved. Great anchorage
