We anchored in a south wind so lots of swinging around until the wind died down. After that, perfect. The current is 1-2 mph and that night there was no traffic on the river. Slept soundly.

The red buoy is closer to shore than is charted, but we were able to find room to anchor just north and inside of it. The river level was down (at about 2' stage at Valley City on 9/20/21), so we didn't have a lot of water. Dropped the anchor in 7' but drifted into less than 5'.

Note: Bridge is hailed as "Valley City" by passing tows.
