Good holding. We actually anchored on the north side of the resort area located on the point. Plenty deep. We cruised the area by dingy but did not go to the resort. Resort does allow access to the dining facility and open bar but not sure if there's a fee involved. Good protection from all sides and very little boat traffic. However, some small power boaters do speed through the channel. All n all a good stop and easy access back to the Rappahannock.
