Head in towards RDB south of the marked submerged dolphins between Green 71 and 73 near mile marker 90.7 to your preferred depth and anchor in mud with reported good holding. Remember that there is a 4 foot tide in the area and account for Mean Low Water when selecting both your anchoring depth and anchor rode scope. Remember that there is a reversing tide on the river with currents up to 2 mph as well. There is no real protection against wakes and only good protection from waves with winds coming from the southwest around to the north. Strong winds with any east components will have enough fetch to build uncomfortable waves. Shore access is up the Rondout Creek in Kingston, about a mile and a half away. There is no public dinghy dock but there is a municipal marina under the Rt. 9 bridge. Cell phone reception is good. The anchorage is definitely a good fair weather overnight but pay attention to the weather.
