The one good thing is, it is extremely quiet. It is not pet friendly due to the fact you have a very very long walk to see grass. This marina had the largest collection of abandoned boats.

We arrived late in the season….okay, past the end of the season, so plenty of dock space. No problems with docking, plugging in or departing. The pooch got a chance to stretch his legs, and the pub at the top, above the marina, filled our bellies.

Very accommodating getting set up for the transient slip. However, when we arrived and were set to plug in, another boater with a slip adjacent to us said he hoped it worked because they had been having issues with the electric which apparently already cost a boater their entire electronics panel. We plugged electric in, five minutes later the entire pedestal was engulfed in flames. Took two of us and three fire extinguishers to stop the flames from igniting the dock and our boat. I called the office to let them know and that we could not get the fire under control and was told someone would be down to check it out. I suggested the fire department might be needed and was told that's why someone was coming down to check it out. 15 minutes later, a man came walking down the dock with a drill and a meter reader. The pedestal was still live and smoking and no one seemed to care. I had to call the office back to ask for a new slip and asked if I could speak to a manager with regards to this situation and was told a manager would not be available until the next day. No apologies, no asking if we needed anything. We are down two fire extinguishers and a 30 amp power cord that was burnt to a crisp (but thank god our boat didn't ignite). Not even a call from the marina today to see if we were ok or offer their apologies. Nevermind a refund. Shout out to Glen, the adjacent slip holder, and Christian, the dock hand who helped us fuel and get us into two different slips. He should run the marina because he was more helpful than anyone else working there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I waited all day to see if we would get a call from the manager before I wrote this review.

The young dock hand was inexperienced but super nice, great attitude. The afternoon manager came out to say hi on the fuel dock, told us to go anywhere we like that's open . We are 40 ft long and 24 ft wide, and wanted 50 amp.
We made reservations a week ago and double checked the day before and the day of. He pointed to a slip that was 15 to 18 ft wide .. and suggested that one. We explained we were 24. Feet wide .. so he said oh yeah ok .. go down where you like . I asked are they all 50 amp ? He said he did not know . So which ones are 50 amp ? Not sure , he said just drive back that way and you will find one .. the dock hand got on a golf cart and drove where the man suggested . She did not have a radio , so we followed her with our boat and yelled back and forth No 50 amp
We finally found an empty space on the dock , pulled in tied up and the dock hand drove back to the office to ask if it was ok if we stayed there . It was all kinda of crazy after a 12 hour day on the water . Other than that all was good . I have never written a bad review of any marina , it was just craziness .. and is a huge stretched out marina . It has the potential to be an awesome place . Radios , another dock hand and a map of spaces and what service is at those spaces would be a great startView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

You need to time your entry and departure from the marina to be at high tide or close to it. We only draw 3' and it was nip and tuck leaving at low tide to get around the sand bar at the entrance. Once you are inside, you are well protected from any wakes and the slips get shady in the afternoon. We pumped and fueled and the dock hands were very helpful. Same for tying up in a crosswind. Your reward is an excellent dinner at Grain H20 at the top of the marina basin. Also, easy to walk your dogs down by the travel lift.

They no longer give a discount for BoatUS or any other affiliation. The dock hands were great. Newly renovated shower and restrooms.

The marina is shaping up nicely with the exception of Sammy; she was rude and acted like i was bothering her. On the other hand, they have done many improvements and are showing signs of maintenance. Will check back soon.

Don’t stop here. Sat in the mud at low tide. Bathroom sad. Only a security guard on duty. No help with lines.

Storm brought us in....never knew this place was here...what a gem! Dockmaster Kim got us a slip assigned right away and sent dockhands down to help us. We weathered the storm at the Grain H2O...a great bar and restuarant. We will be coming back when we have more time, now that we know its here!

1st time here...I was impressed considering all the bad reviews. Bathrooms were not bad, laundry was up and running, restaraunt was open and good food, looked like they were updating docks, dock attendants were curtious and knew what they were doing. The lady Kat in the office was very nice. Beautiful surroundings, if we are ever back this way, we will definately come back

Location is great to catch a flight or run around Delaware and buy all your good's tax free (no sales tax). They just dredged in December, but stay close to the docks as you are coming in. About midway there is a little shoal but its soft mud and we slid right through. Restaurant on site was yummy, not sure i'll be back at $2 a foot as electricity was spotty (216v is what I was reading).

Eastern most Marina on the C&D Canal. Easy access but pay attention to the entrance channel. They seem to have a small dredge in place often. Only 30 minutes to Philly Airport. Barely hear the train traffic.
